Tamiya brings back a classic favorite with the Ford F-150 Ranger XLT, a model not seen since its original 1981 release. Celebrating the enduring popularity of Ford trucks in the United States, this re-released 1/10 scale R/C kit combines nostalgic design with modern updates, capturing the angular styling and robust ladder-frame construction that made the original F-150 Ranger XLT iconic.
This updated kit retains the body of the original release but introduces newly molded details including side mirrors, wipers, headlights (compatible with separately sold LED lights), and a redesigned front section with grille and bumper guards. The stealth body mount eliminates front body mount holes, enhancing realism, while authentic cab-side triangle windows, front and rear Ford emblems, and updated stickers complete the detailed presentation.
Designed for enthusiasts, the kit includes 3-piece center-lock wheels paired with semi-pneumatic block pattern tires, a 540-Type motor, and an electronic speed controller (ESC). Builders will need a 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2–7.4V battery with compatible charger, and Tamiya TS paints to complete the model.
