Italeri 1/35 Pz. Kpfw VI Tiger I Ausf. H (tp) 6767
Overview
The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I is one of the most well-known armoured vehicles of the Second World War. Developed to strengthen the capabilities of the Wehrmacht armoured divisions, it was designed to operate alongside the Panzer III and Panzer IV, which had become less effective against increasingly capable enemy armour.
The Tiger I first entered combat at the end of 1942, seeing action on the Eastern Front near Leningrad and later in North Africa during the Tunisian campaign in early 1943. Its design emphasised both protection and firepower, making it a formidable presence on the battlefield.
At the core of its effectiveness was the powerful 88 mm KwK 36 L/56 gun, mounted in a heavily armoured turret with a 120 mm mantlet. This weapon allowed the Tiger I to engage and penetrate opposing vehicles at long range, contributing to its reputation as one of the most capable heavy tanks of its time. This model kit represents the Tiger I with multiple build options and track configurations for added realism.
