Airfix 1/72 Typhoon And Hurricane Twin Pack A40002
Overview
The Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 'GINA' and Hawker Hurricane Mk.I Twin Pack 1:72 Scale Model Set brings together two iconic Royal Air Force aircraft from different eras. This dual kit features the modern Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 ‘GINA’ with its striking Battle of Britain tribute livery, alongside the historic Hawker Hurricane Mk.I that inspired its design. Comprising 97 components and rated Skill Level 2, the set is suitable for modellers aged 8 and above, offering an engaging and historically inspired build.
The Typhoon FGR.4 ‘GINA’ celebrates the legacy of Flight Lieutenant James Brindley Nicolson, the sole Fighter Command pilot awarded the Victoria Cross during the Second World War. Its distinctive paint scheme recreates the camouflage of Nicolson’s Hurricane from No.249 Squadron, forging a visual link between the pinnacle of Fighter Command and the RAF’s state-of-the-art multi-role jet. The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I included in the kit faithfully represents the aircraft flown during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
This dual kit allows modellers to appreciate both historic and modern RAF aviation while enjoying a rewarding assembly experience. The accurate paint schemes, detailed components, and commemorative designs make this set a standout for collectors and enthusiasts seeking to honour 75 years of RAF history.
